Las Salinas de Torrevieja, inaugurated in July 2018, have been visited by more than 60,000 tourists of many nationalities, and are considered a tourist reference of high international level.

Its production of more than 600,000 tonnes of salt per year stands out, being considered the largest in Europe and the only one in the world with its extraction system.

The Torrevieja salt flats are located in the Natural Park of the La Mata and Torrevieja lagoons. Of natural origin, it is an environment of great ecological value, rich in flora and fauna, making its landscapes unique and enriching our tourist heritage.

The visit takes place on board a tourist train with a voice-over in several languages, stopping to see the famous pink lagoon, climb a mountain of salt, and even buy some of our products.

The Visits to the Torrevieja Salt Flats have joined the "Made in Costa Blanca" project, an initiative of the Costa Blanca Provincial Tourist Board and the Alicante Chamber of Commerce, which was created to promote the province's Industrial Tourism offer, which is currently configured as a cultural resource, which de-seasonalises and enriches our sun and beach destination. In addition, this year we made ourselves known in terms of tourism at "FITUR", but it was this summer when we exposed our facilities, city, community and our country to the whole world with the launch of the first stage of the 2019 edition of "La Vuelta Ciclista a España".
